ABOUT US

We the directors of KASECO Mr. Malagala Emmanuel and Mr. Wambi Ezera started our operations as freelancer masons constructing bio digesters, incinerators and offering general construction services; we have currently spent 10 years in the field.

We were contracted by the Heifer international organization, and then its time frame of operation ended, with then joined Biogas solutions Uganda.

As time went on, we developed an initial plan of setting up our company now currently registered and fully operational in Uganda.

BIOGAS

Biogas is a gas produced by the digestion in an oxygen free (anaerobic digestion) or fermentation of organic matter. The organic matter can be manure, sewage, municipal waste, compost, food waste or any other biodegradable raw material. Biogas is mainly methane and carbon dioxide.

Depending on where it is produced, biogas is also called: swamp gas, marsh gas, landfill gas, digester gas. Biogas is burnt directly for cooking, heating, lighting, process heat and absorption refrigeration. It can alslo be used as a vehicle fuel or to generate electricity.

Biogas is a source of renewable energy which is got from decomposing organic materials like Animals waste, Human waste, food remains and Agricultural remains etc. All these materials are fed into a tank which is called a Bio Digester. This tank is made up of four chambers i.e. the Mixing Chamber, Digester Chamber, Gas Chamber and Expansion Chamber. There are variety of tanks in different types which include fixed dome, tube system, floating drum system, barrel type, amongst others; they are applied depending on the geographical region and its conditions (e.g. climate, access/transport costs, availability and costs of material/appliances)

The remains (bio slurry) are discharged as ready manure to be used in the garden to increase on the production, food supplement for animals like (pigs, poultry and fish).

This system produces energy that reduces on other sources of energy used by 80% to 90%.
